I use these techniques daily in my photography business and the changes I have noticed are amazing.

To get a head-start on building a solid foundation for your business start here.

5 Ways To Improve Business Daily

1. Visualize Your Success

“If you see it in your mind, you will hold it in your hand”

Quiet your mind and see the life you want to have

The human mind is an incredible thing. For centuries we have been told that what we think about becomes real.

It has been scientifically proven that the mind does not know the difference between something we are actually doing, and something we are imagining. Everything we see around us in every day once started as just a thought in someone’s mind.

The amazing human mind

This is a powerful thing to realize because it means that all those thoughts we have every day can be used to manifest what we want in our lives. Therefore, we can also do this for our business.

Figure out your “why”. What is the end goal for your business and “why” do you want it? Once you figure this out, map it out. Write it out in explicit detail and then live it in your mind every single day. Set aside 15 or 20 minutes every morning. Sit and calm your body and your mind, and visualize this end goal as if you were living it right now.

This is such a powerful exercise and after just days of doing this, you will notice a positive improvement in your mindset and your passion for your business. Keep it going daily for the next 12 months and you will not believe where you are.

2. Income Producing Activities

“It’s simple arithmetic: your income can grow, only to the extent that you do.”

You’ve got to get some money in that piggy bank!

These are things that you must do daily to achieve progress and results in your business. After all, if you’re not producing income, you don’t really have a business do you?

Ideally, you want to spend 80% of your time each day focusing on actions that will generate revenue for your business. Whether it is contacting clients, placing ads, sourcing products, whatever it might be – devote the majority of your time to this.

Stay consistent with this and you will start to see improvements in no time at all.

3. Invest in Yourself

“Once you stop learning, you start dying.”

Albert Einstein

Your business is a reflection of who you are. You can only grow your business to the extent of your abilities. This is why investing in yourself is so important.

Expand your mind with a book

If you are spending 80% of your time on income producing activities, then the remaining 20% should be spent on self-development. Read a book, start a course, listen to a podcast, watch YouTube videos, anything you can do to improve your knowledge and sense of self-worth.

When you go to bed each night, be worth more than you were when you woke up.

4. Mastermind With Other Leaders

“Great leaders don’t tell you what to do. They show you how it’s done.”

Anonymous

Human beings are imitators – most of us will instinctively copy the behaviors of, or take on the traits of those around us. If you are going to copy someone, why not someone who is super-successful, or who has achieved what you want in life?

Being around leaders in your field is one of the most powerful ways to motivate yourself, improve your productivity, and gain more success.

Mastermind with leaders online

This has never been easier to do. We are using digital technology to communicate and connect with each other more than ever now. It is so easy to connect with the right people who can help you with ways to improve your business.

Join webinars, reach out to people via email, go to seminars (when we are allowed to mingle again!?); there are so many different ways that you can surround yourself with the right people who can inspire you.

5. Learn, Do, Teach

“A good teacher is like a candle – it consumes itself to light the way for others.”

Mustafa Kemal Attartuk

What you learn today, do today, and then teach it to someone else. There is no benefit in hoarding knowledge and hiding it away. If we did not share what we know, the planet would not be the amazing place it is today. We elevate each other by sharing knowledge.

This final way to improve your business works in conjunction with Step 3. As you are improving yourself and learning new things, practice them and then teach someone else how to do them.
